Simply Delicious Chili
Championship Chili Spice Blend
A delicious chili recipe with ground beef, onion, and Championship Chili Spice Blend. Served with RoTel Diced Tomatoes With Green Chiles, ElPato Mexican Tomato Sauce or Hunts Tomato Sauce, Chili Beans, and water or chicken broth.
Serves: 8
Ingredients:
3 pounds 90% lean ground beef
1 large, chopped (2 cups) onion
4 to 6 tablespoons (1/4 cup) Championship Chili Spice Blend
1 28-ounce can, original or mild Ro•Tel Diced Tomatoes With Green Chiles
1 7-ounce can or 8-ounce can ElPato Mexican Tomato Sauce or Hunts Tomato Sauce
2 15-ounce cans Chili Beans
1/2 cup Water or chicken broth
Directions:
In a 6 quart heavy stock pot, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat just until cooked through.
Add Championship Chili Spice Blend and stir until blended.
Add remaining ingredients and bring to a gentle boil. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Chili McRoni
Championship Chili Spice Blend
A hearty and flavorful chili dish with macaroni, ground beef, green bell pepper, and corn simmered in a tomato-based sauce seasoned with Championship Chili Spice Mix.
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
16 ounces 93% lean ground beef
1 small, chopped (1/2 cup) onion
1 small, chopped (1/2 cup) green bell pepper
2 cloves, finely chopped garlic
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes with green chiles
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
1.5 cups water
5 tablespoons Championship Chili Spice Mix
1.25 cups, uncooked elbow macaroni
1 can (11 ounces), drained whole kernel corn
Directions:
In a 3 quart saucepan over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add onion, bell pepper and garlic to the saucepan and cook until tender.
Stir in both the diced tomatoes and green chiles, water, Olde Westport Championship Chili Spice Mix, macaroni and corn.
Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then lower heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the macaroni is tender but not mushy.
